That a problem. Is the house to low to the ground to put a small dog under it? Maybe it would chase the squirrel out.
I used to feed 6 squirrels every day peanuts, almonds and they were very appreciative. I don't know why it would want to live with you.
Have you called your local animal control office? They may be able to help you with a different kind of trap, or something else that is working in your area.
aaahh...please dont hurt the cute squirrel, try offering it nuts and stuff, then catch it in a cage and sell it off to the pet store, or make it your own pet, i would....but anyway....nuts will work fine...
what do you have against squirrels - theyre good people.
