How do u make a cheap homemade coon or squirrel trap thats humane?

Your best coon trap will be... get a wooden box about 2ft square, that is totally enclosed with an access door that you can shut yourself. Affix inside this box a smaller box (about 6';square) that had a hole drilled in it 1 1/2 inches diameter.

Have the hole facing up. Place a shinny silver slug at least 1 1/4 '; in diameter, inside the smaller box with the hole. On the side that is affixed to the larger box cut a hole about 3'; diameter in both boxes so you can see the 1 1/2 '; hole from the bottom of the larger box.

Now set this contraption in the area that has the coons.

They will see the silver coin in the box and want it. When one of them goes into the box to get it they will stick their hand in the hole to pull it out. grabbing ahold of it they will not let go. and they will not be able to pull their hand out with the silver slug. You can go out and close the outside door to trap them inside. Then pick up the box and pull the coin from their hand releasing them from the hold but still having them in the box.

Then release them in a new area and they are fine.

As for the squirrels. Get a few tin pie plates and put them around the yard on fence posts. For some reason they do not like them.

That should do the trick. How do u make a cheap homemade coon or squirrel trap thats humane?

That depends on what you define as humane. If you are just trying to disperse them or keep them from coming around and getting into trouble I wouldn't try to trap them. Check out these links for some more info.

Trapping and releasing wildlife is NEVER a good practice. The stress placed on the animals from relocating can lead to death and the possibility of spreading disease is high. Plus is against the law in most states.
